Full Moon Dance :-)

"Full Moon Dance" Yes, I like it!"

This graffiti says it all - spotted on a wall in Cochabamba a few weeks ago, now I can say yes 100% I agree after Lola, Florrie and me had one of the happiest festival experiences this weekend at Full Moon Dance.

About Hecho Juntos

Hecho Juntos is an ongoing documentation of the art projects and collaborations that I have been involved over the last couple of years whilst traveling through South America. I am currently based here in Guyaquil, Ecuador and working as a children’s arts educator with the Charlotte Miller Art Project in partnership with Fundación Junto con Los Niños. Here I have been facilitating art workshops for street-involved or at-risk children with the aim of promoting their healthy social and personal development through art since January 2013.

Hecho Juntos began in February 2013 when I left my job as a 2D animator in London and traveled to Chile for a 2-week art residency with Curatoria Forense. My projects developed through on-the-road drawings, photos and collaborations as I headed north through Chile and passed through Cochabamba, Bolivia and Buenos Aires, Argentina, arriving into Brazil where I worked for 6 weeks as a volunteer arts educator with girls attending the NGO Meninadança in Medina, Minas Gerias in Brazil.

In the summer of 2013 I had a welcome seven weeks back in the UK with my beloved family and friends and worked again with the brilliant 12foot6 animation team in London. From there I headed to Bolivia for the next stage of Hecho Juntos, a 3 month art residency with Sustainable Bolivia where I combined personal drawing with artist collaborations and the facilitation of animation and art workshops with 3 NGO groups: AVE, INFANTE and CAICC.

After a swift 2 weeks in the UK visiting family I arrived here to Ecuador in January 2014 for my current placement with CMAP at JUCONI.
