lllllyrical La Boca: Dear Noel...

Dear Noel,

Some images for you from this super-colourful port region of Buneos Aires... a spot I imagine you'd love for its vibrancy: bars and restaurants spilling tables, tango dancers and music out onto the cobble stone streets, walls covered in murals and plaques celebrating musicians, poets and artists.

And as a fellow itchy-footed roamed (is it our Irish blood do you think?) maybe you will like lyrical writing of this mural:

The immigrants already arrive.  Stars fall from the sky.
Two harlequins greet and an old man plays the accordion.
A child plays with a ball it dances a tango working-class lad
this is part of La Boca the district I most love
Jose Palmiotti-Lalo Sussi

Perhaps that rough (!) translation gives you a flavour of La Boca.. a place which seemed to be full of fascinating characters happy and ready to chatter away, just like you'd enjoy (and plenty of stages where you'd be invited to play a tune or two I'm sure!)

Hoping all is well and happy and musical with you back home Noely!
lots of love
:-)
